Solar Energy
Cansolair (made in Newfoundland)
A direct air heating system that works with ANY existing heating system with no retrofitting required. It simply pulls the cold air from the floor and spits it back out at the top of the room. This seems counterproductive at first but with a flow rate of 90 cubic feet per minute the Cansolair will pull the warm air down as it draws the cold air in for heating. This creates a more consistent heat from the top of the ceiling to the floor as traditional systems tend to not cause the air to flow. An area of approximately 1000 sq. ft. can be heated to a comfortable temperature with just 15 minutes of sun per hour. It should be noted that the Cansolair is a supplemental heating system and is not intended to be the sole component in a heating system but to provide FREE heat when the sun is shining. The average payback on this unit has been set at 3-5 years and is getting better every time the price of oil goes up. This unit qualifies for the ecoEnergy for Renewable Heat and the no PST incentive.

For solar hot water heating the Solar Boiler is second to none. Providing up to 65% of your annual domestic hot water needs this unit has an immediate impact on the size of your bill.
