Cansolair
I normally burn about 2,400 litres of oil annually for heating fall through spring. Since I installed a Cansolair from Renewable Lifestyles last fall, my oil consumption is down by almost a third. Even on the coldest days, the boiler may not come on from after 8:30 though early evening, if the day has been sunny. Payback at this rate will be less than 4 years which is pretty impressive.

Biomass Stoves
I am very happy with the stove. It has saved me all the money I have paid for the stove most definitely… I don’t have to worry about the price of oil, I don’t have to buy a whole tank of oil at a time. Now I can just go to the store and purchase what I need. It’s just so much better in every way.

It’s a very efficient turbine… The turbine supplies the power for our house and Bed and Breakfast for the year. The small surplus we use to heat our house for two to three months of the year.

Solar Pool Heating Panel
We get the pool up around 82ºF with the one panel and it will stay around that temperature and we have a 33 foot pool too… Last year (2010) it was late October before we shut everything down.
